Okay...time to get this thing started..first of all, this is my personal page. This is to track my progress and to place my thoughts about each one of my posted projects.

Project 1 Review of basic drawing skills 09/05/07

What was most successful? I believe that both my charcoal and pastel drawings where the most successful of my sketches and projects. This is because I think that I have a good understanding of how to use spreadable media such as pastel and charcoal.

What have you learned? I have learned that it takes great patience to improve and that one cannot create quality artwork when focused on every minute detail.

What was least successful? My least successful sketch was my attempt to draw spoons in a mason jar filled with water. I could not focus on the composition because of the distortions and details or draw the object large enough. (editor's note: this sketch is not listed in the wiki)

What will you use again?  I will attempt to use watercolor again and try to gain a better understanding of how to use watercolor in the correct manner..hopefully with the books I have checked out of the library.

What would you do differently? I would personally spend more time reading about the media in order to use it in the correct way or to use it more efficiently.
